Doh!
So over that past few years I've had a lot of chances to see and hear in the background the Sound of Music. Mrs. LK pretty much watches it the whole month of December.
Seriously. ;)
Anyway I stumbled on this today during my entarweb travels. I can just about see myself joining in. Maybe.

Still Taking It Easy
Haven't looked at my phone so I don't know if there are any messages there. Don't wanna know. If you've left a message and I haven't gotten back to you well then call the hotel. :)
In other news this was the scene outside my window this morning. Velly nize.

It's essentially the same right now with the sun to the right instead of to the left. Still velly nize. Until I noticed what some darn avian critter left for me. Been here a month with nothing and now that right in the middle of the window. Heh.

Not quite so nize.
Since I've been here I've had a few Presidentes, but down at the bar the selection is limited and I've been mixing it up between Sam Adams and Stella Artois. All very satisfactory. Last Thursday while at the Pubix grocery store with a coworker I noticed they had this for sale in six packs. So I grabbed some.

Oh man! I finally popped one open today and to quote Cinderella, yes Cinderella, the band, "You don't know what you've got until it's gone." Oh baby was it nice to put down some nice hoppy IPA. Ahhhhhhhhh.
Viva le hops!

Unrelated
Had a day off yesterday. A real day off. Would still be nice to get two in a row, but I'll take what I can get. Headed out to Tampa Bay for some roller derby action. Woohoo! More on that later. First thing, they had these cool derby wrist bands.

Second, this was in the free weekly or monthly or whatever rag downstairs.

Yes it's colder in Florida than in SoCal. WTF?!?! On Saturday it was actually 27 degrees F in Titusville. Holy bejeebus.

And...
When you're looking for a fresh pie of the hair come to Cocoa Beach. Oi.

p.s. Gotta be to work in 7.5 hours. Yes to work at 3AM, up at 2AM. Yuck.

Totally Teh Suck
So I've been completely remiss in posting. Thank you for noticing. I'm going to continue to be remiss at least for the next while. However, I have updated the photo album with some of the stuff we did in 2008. Hawaii, Labor Day, White Elephant, X-Mas, etc. Enjoy.
Oh. And I'm finally leaving for the cape tomorrow. Will be catching the C-5. More blogging from Florida. At some point.

Celebrate!
And then there are the pre 4th of July fireworks. Yes. Since at least the beginning of June I've been hearing the the Tijuana fireworks going off in or near my neighborhood. Once again I hope they don't land on my roof. 1912 building materials and fireworks just don't mix.

Terribly Picture
I don't know why I'm even posting this, but through my eyes and not the cameras the sunset is beautiful. If I wasn't such a lazy sack of shit I'd go outside, but this is the best I can do through the screened window.

It really is beautiful and it's finally cooling off thanks to the offshore breeze.

Bene Gesserit Litany For Beer
I must drink beer. Beer is the mind-killer. Beer is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my beer. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see it's path. When the beer has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Sad News

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, The California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the hostess Twinkies and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.
Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times he is still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.
Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.
The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the occasion and take time to pass it on and share that smile with someone else who may be having a crumby day and kneads it.
