Fight Crew vs. Tough Cookies

Cookies are tough again this year. However, my Fight Crew almost took 'em down. Almost. Final score 103 to 93 in favor of the Cookies. Next time.

There were a ton of game ejections too. More than I've seen in a long time. I think at least 4 skaters were booted. All for accumulation of penalties. Mentioned it to Busta on the way out and he pointed out that the games are now 20 minutes longer than last year. All quarters are now 15 minutes instead of 10. It's gonna take some work on the part of the skaters to reduce the number of penalties they accumulate.

Sat up in the VIP season ticket section and it was great. Sitting right at the starting line and right behind Krissy Krash's folks. Fun night.

Actually 12 minutes longer. Which is at least 3 or 4 full team rotations. That is, each member being played, particularly the most effective at the end of a game, has at least 3 or 4 more jams they have to play in. In a tough game, they're also more likely to commit fouls as they fight their hardest at that point.

So then the quarters were 12 minutes each last season? Yeah I guess that does sound right.

Makes sense that there are more fouls at the end in a tight game. Especially with the additional time on the clock. Seeing as they're probably tired as well I'm sure, which makes it that much more likely they'll commit a foul.
