And Welcome to Day Three

So today marks our third day in Portland. Thursday night we wandered around town with Rosanna and finally stopped for dinner at Clyde Commons. I had the lamb, Mrs. LK had the steak and Rosanna had the trout. All really good. Unfortunately Mrs. LK's came a little bit cold. After that it was over to Kell's Irish Pub to close out the night. You can see Kell's in this crappy picture taken from my room at the Embassy Suites. You can see Mt. Hood in the distance in the other picture. Shitty pictures I know, but deal with it.

Friday we headed down to the festival around noon. Actually a little before that. Wanted to be first in line when they opened up the kegs. We spent about 3 and a half hours there before we headed back to the hotel for a bit of a rest.

We did end up going back, but didn't spend too much time there as it was really crowded and we, me and Rosanna, determined that we really hadn't taken a long enough break from the festivities. Back to the hotel we went and that's where I stayed for the rest of the evening. Mrs. LK, Rosanna and eventually Cheeselover hooked up for dinner and drinks well into the wee hours of the morn.

I slept. <--- Are wuss.

We're just about to head back out now for some pre-festival food and then it's back to the tables to try the varieties I missed out on yesterday before the tents get too full. Tonight it's dinner at Andina for Peruvian tapas. Looking forward to it.

Another suggestion, this time for eats - Jakes. This is a downtown Portland institution. I believe it goes back before 1900. It's well known for its seafood. UNOHOO.
