Sailing, sailing over the bounding main.

Yup, that's right you land lubbers I went sailing today out of Long Beach. We didn't go out for a long trip, but it was enjoyable still. We had wind on the way out, but it died once we got out toward the break wall. Still I learned, well learned is not quite it. I was shown how to tack and I did it, but I wouldn't want to have to do it on my own. Next time though. We went out on a coworkers boat. Twentyeight foot, single mast boat. Broken in, but not broken. I'm looking forward to going again.

She May Be Lickin' Something Other Than Fingers...In The Big House

Not so finger lickin' good now.

Remember the finger found in the chili at Wendy's? Well the finger finder has now been arrested.

WooHoo! Xmas in April

Well the first wedding gift arrived at our door today. Yippee! Thank you very much Tom and Helga. Nice job at being first. It was a very pleasant surprise and I phoned Imelda immediately to see if I could open it up before she got home. Definitely a nice surprise on my return home from work. Thanks again.

Just a little of me in Miles. Always on the shy side, but then coming through for a friend when it really matters.

Meh, maybe it's just the wine.

Home Improvement

I know all of you who were lucky enough to speak with me on my home phone enjoyed listening to the AM station whose tower is about two blocks west of us. Well no more. Yes I'm sorry, but I had to dismantle the antenna (aka shitty old phone line with flaking insulation) that was attached to our DirecTV box. I was looking to reduce the static on our phone line today and along with eliminating that(I think) I also got rid of the radio station our phone line had been receiving. Shucks.

Also, I am now a window screen renovator extrordinaire. Our bathroom window now has a new kitty safe, metal screen. Yes I was abnormally active around the house today. I promise I won't let it happen again for a long while.

Not As Tough As I Thought

Dread would be the wrong word. Trepidation might be closer. Whatever you call it though I had been putting off going over the vows.

I don't know what I was thinking. Do I have to wait until the wedding to say this stuff? I was reading through some of the examples today provided by our officiant and with a few minor tweaks I think I've figured out what I want to say. I realize I need to wait until the wedding to say the official vows, but...

Imelda, I love you and I can't wait for the day you are my wife.

All That Romantic Gobbledygoop

Well it is a beautiful day in Torrance. It's wonderful to be at home on such a wonderful day. The only thing that makes it even the littlest bit a bummer is knowing I'll be at work Sunday morning instead. Eh, fuck it.

Well seeing as tomorrow we are going to the officiant to discuss our vows and what not I thought, "Hmmm, I wonder if I should actually look at what he gave us for suggestions so I can actually make some decisions? Yes...yes, definitely yes. That would be good." So folding chair, wedding vow packet and beer in hand I've headed down to our patch of lawn to figure all this stuff out. Wish me luck.

Tonight with any luck we'll be able to mix our thoughts and ideas together and come up with something we both dig. Wish us luck.
