The Incredibles, eh.

Well finally saw The Incredibles last night and I hate to say it, but eh. I think it got overhyped before I saw it. Too many people said it was the best movie evar. I'll have to agree that the graphics were outfuckinstanding. There were some funny bits. Edna and Jack-Jack were the best. The rest, though still good, just didn't get me excited. I still say that the original Shrek is the best yet and I do mean yet. There is going to be something even better, but it just hasn't gotten here yet. So between 1 and 5 with 5 being the best I give The Incredibles a 4, maybe a 4 1/4.

Finally saw this one on the plane coming back from New Orleans. I agree...I was not all tingly inside after watching it like I thought I'd be, but it was entertaining and the animation was amazing. Our girls can't get enough of it though (Steve's mom rented it for them while we were gone). I'm with you - Shrek #1 still reigns supreme.

Just my 2 cents, but The Incredibles is the finest animated film since The Nightmare Before X-Mass. Not an easy thing to pull off, but they did it. It's fun. It's well written. Outstanding.

Yeah it was definitely technically more beautiful than Shrek, but I just didn't get as much enjoyment factor out of it. I mean I liked it. It was fun. Some was funny. I'd definitely watch it many times again, but I'm not quoting any lines from it either and I still do that with Shrek. Really, really.
